5 Tips to Run a Successful Webinar
Do you want to nail your webinar? Here are 5 easy, but effective tips I personally use when running my own webinars. These tips ensure I'm successful & come across like a professional host.
I've been running webinars for a few years through Zoom & other webinar platforms. These tips can be taken across & used on all the platforms you're hosting your webinar.
Let's get straight into it, these are my 5 tips for successfully hosting a webinar.
1. Invest in Professional Audio
If you want to be well received, people must be able to see you & hear you clearly. having professional audio on your webinar will make you sound much more professional to your audience.
I recommend investing in a high quality microphone, there is a heap of great options for $100 on Amazon.
2. Use Online Chat
Most webinar platforms have an online chat feature. This means people can type in their questions & answers, if they don't feel comfortable speaking up during the webinar.
I find that people use this feature heavily, in the beginning of the webinar. Then become comfortable to speak towards the end.
3. Make sure your Slides are Simple
When delivering your webinar, people will be consuming the information visually & audibly.
Ensure you use simple slides, with not too much information on them. This way you don't over load the audience with too much information. You want the slides to complement what you're discussing.
4. Record the Webinar
Most webinar platforms allow you to record the webinar. This is useful for two reasons.
One, people can rewatch & learn from the webinar even when it's over.
Two, you can rewatch the webinar & learn how to improve yourself.
5. Screenshare to Engage your Audience
Keep your webinar interesting, by screensharing & walking through what you're doing.
People want to see what it is you're doing. This is also a chance to show off you're a professional.
I hope you enjoyed these 5 webinar tips.
