How to Block Someone on LinkedIn
In this tutorial, I teach you how to block people & contacts on LinkedIn. It's a super simple tutorial, but it can make your life nice & simple if you need to block someone on LinkedIn.
Why Block Someone on LinkedIn?
If you block someone, they won't be able to see you. This is great if you want to stay hidden from people.
You might want to block your competitors, if you want to remain anonymous.
Or you might want to block people who are hassling you on LinkedIn.
The other great thing about blocking people is, they won't get any notifications, so you can block them and they won't know.
How to Block Someone on LinkedIn
It's super easy to block people on LinkedIn.
1. Head to their LinkedIn Profile
Go their profile and make sure you’re signed in. This is where we’re going to block them from seeing & interacting with you.
2. Select the “More” Button
This will open up a range of different options for us to do with their profile.
If you don’t have this options - make sure you are signed in with your LinkedIn account.
3. Select “Report/Block”
As a final step, this will bring up another dialogue box, where we can tell LinkedIn what we want.
In this case, we want to select “Block”.
This will prevent that user from seeing us & it will prevent us from seeing them.
How to Unblock Someone on LinkedIn
If you accidentally blocked someone or regret blocking them.
This is how you can unblock them from LinkedIn.
1. Go to your “Settings & Privacy”
This is where all your complex privacy settings are stored on LinkedIn.
You will find this button underneath your profile drop down.
2. Navigate to “Visibility of your LinkedIn Profile”
Inside of this tab, we need to find the sub-section called “Blocking”.
This will have a list of all the people we’ve blocked.
3. Open “Blocking” & Unblock the User
Once you open your blocking list, you will be able to see the user & unblock them.
