How to Report a Youtube Channel

I recently found someone was copying my Youtube videos and was even impersonating my Youtube channel.

It was actually quite terrifying to see how blatantly obvious the copying was…

So the first that went through my mind was, I need to report this person. But I actually had no idea how to do that

So that’s why I created this tutorial, to help other people that need help reporting Youtube channels.

Stop people copying your Youtube videos.

Steps to Report a Youtube Channel

This is a super simple tutorial, so I am going to keep this quick and easy.

Step 1. Navigate to the Youtube Channel

Head to the Youtube channel that you want to report.

Step 2. Go to the About tab

On the top menu, head to the About tab, it’s normally on the right hand side.

Select the flag icon to report the channel.

Step 3. Select the Flag Icon and Complete the Report Form

You should be able to see a little flag icon, this is what you want to select.

This will open up a form, when you can report the Youtube channel for a variety of reasons.

Select the appropriate reason and fill out any additional requirements, and you’re good to go.

These are the options available when reporting a Youtube user.

Summary

Reporting a Youtube channel really isn’t that hard, but Youtube don’t make it easy either.
