3 Video Marketing Strategies to Generate More Leads
Video is such a powerful medium, that it cannot be ignored. Video has an addictive and compelling nature, due to its ability to manipulate emotions. This is why people get stuck in a trance watching TV/Youtube/Netflix for hours. Put simply, a good video should make you feel good.
This provides an exceptional opportunity for organisations to use video marketing to generate more leads.
Videos can used across a variety of different channels to encourage more leads. Let’s jump straight into it and discuss 3 video marketing strategies to generate more leads.
1. Engaging Social Media Content.
The social media is great, as long as the content is engaging and personal. Video is the perfect medium for being engaging and personal.
Here is an example of a video on my social media.
I filmed this video in less than 30 seconds, just using my iPhone. Then took another 30 seconds to upload it to all my business social media channels.
What makes this video so effective is, my voice and how raw the video is. There is no editing, this video gives the audience a real insight into me, and how my business operates.
Videos like these perform extremely well, because people on social media want to interact with people, not corporations.
2. Content Marketing.
I describe content marketing as, producing content that your ideal customers will consume. Content can be anything from blog posts to podcasts. But obviously we’re going to focus on videos.
So producing video content can be extremely daunting, because most people want high production quality videos, but that doesn’t have to be the case. There is nothing wrong with keeping your videos basic, if the content is good, then it doesn’t have to look pretty.
Here is the first example.
When I have time, I like to produce educational tutorial videos on Youtube.
If you quickly skim through the video, you can see that it’s not extremely well produced, but it’s good enough.
This video is essentially designed to be a lead generation strategy for my business (we build websites).
Hopefully the person watching the video is interested in building a Shopify website. However they might struggle, and who will they turn to for help? Hopefully my business.
The second example, is a video I produced for TikTok…
I know, this is controversial.
Some marketers don’t like TikTok, but everyday I see more and more adults using TikTok. So I don’t think it’s a child’s social media anymore.
Like the previous example, I want this video to be a lead generation tool for my business.
Ideally the TikTok viewer finds my channel on Youtube and then watches my videos and then goes to my business website.
TikTok is definitely not the best medium for my business. But it does suit other industries like fashion and fitness. So do consider TikTok when making videos
I actually wrote a blog about my experience with marketing on TikTok if you want to know more.
3. Promotional Videos.
These are your general type of corporate videos, which should explain what your organisation does. These are really important to have on your website and social media. They allow customers to find out about your organisation via video, instead of reading.
Putting a promotional video onto your website is also really great for improving your SEO.
This is an example of a general promotion video we use for IPM Media. We wanted a fast, high intensity video to explain what we do, because we didn’t want to bore people. This also explains why we chose upbeat music, so we could hopefully keep the viewers engaged through out the whole video.
Other promotional videos you might want to produce are “about our team”, “testimonials” and “case studies”. These are all super compelling to convince your customer to spend money with you.
The key takeaway I want you to get out of this article is, start using video where possible.
Video is such a powerful medium for sharing emotions and connecting as humans. This is why you need to be creating videos. Don’t give yourself the excuse that you need expensive camera equipment, because we all have phones that are capable of shooting 1080p HD videos.
Here at IPM Media, we’re a digital marketing agency based out of Adelaide, South Australia. We have years of experience creating effective lead generation videos, contact us if you need video production.
